There's no set rules to how you use your Bounty Chips but know that adding them will bring A LOT more fun to your poker game or tournament. The 2 most popular ways are outlined below:

1.
Besides the buy-in, each player in your game or tournament purchases (or is given) a single Bounty Chip. The price paid becomes the "Bounty". When a player goes "all-in" their personal Bounty Chip goes into the pot with their remaining chips (however the player going "all-in" keeps any Bounty Chips that they previously won from other losing players).

If the player wins the pot, the chip is kept and the game continues. However if the player loses the pot (and his Bounty Chip) that player is eliminated from the game/tournament and the pot winner collects the Bounty Chip.

After the game each player exchanges the Bounty Chips in their possession for the initial cash paid or a predetermined prize from the game/tournament host.

The neat thing about using Bounty Chips in this manner is that they allow ANY player to win something no matter where they place in the game or tournament. They could have eliminated several players before losing themselves and will still have cash or a prize waiting for them even though they might not have won the game itself.

Another way to use a Bounty Chip is to secretly designated one player as the "Bounty". That person keeps their chip hidden. When (if?) they are eliminated they reveal their chip and the person that knocked them out collects the entire bounty that each player contributed to.
